Spring Break 2013 once again saw many brands competing for attention on the beaches of Panama City Beach, Florida. Leading youth marketing agency Collegiate Marketing Group (CMG) represented several key activations, including ‘Malibu’ – a Rum beverage brand.
CMG’s Malibu promo campaign included obtaining marketing and sampling rights to some of Panama CityBeach’s hottest spring break bars, clubs, and hotel pool decks.
In addition to free samples poured by the thousands, an Instagram hashtag game was introduced to students – put on by Malibu – as a way to win cool prizes. CMG’s promo team engaged with spring breakers and encouraged all to participate in the Instagram experience, in addition to sampling some mixed rum.
